Ship your package using a trackable method such as ExpressPost, Purolator, UPS or Federal Express
For our U.S. Customers:
Value the package at the bare minimum. Higher values will result in unnecessary duty and brokerage charges.
Clearly label the package, “Equipment for the blind. Item for Repair service.”
Please include inside the box:
Contact information: your name, address, daytime telephone number, and email address (on a sheet of paper inside the box).
A description of the problem, giving as much detail as possible.
Is the problem intermittent or consistent? What happened prior to the problem such as installation of software; unit dropped; spilled something on it; strange behaviour it was displaying.
For embossers, please provide samples with the issues clearly marked.
Also include a list of the accessories you are sending (adaptor, external drive, etc.)
Package your item carefully:
Secure any moveable parts and, whenever possible, pack your item using the original box and padding materials it came in when you purchased it.
If you do not have these, wrap it in multiple layers of shock-resistant foam or bubble wrap, and ship in a sturdy cardboard box appropriate to the size of the item.
If your equipment can move around inside the box, or if there are moving parts that can shift within the unit, it may be damaged during shipping without any external evidence.
This type of damage is not covered by courier insurance and is often more expensive to repair than the original problem.
Shipping damage may also mask or change the original problem.
After your package has arrived.
We will contact you once the estimate has been completed to discuss repair options.
